On Linux, container builds authenticate to private registries with your Docker or Apptainer login.

On Linux, pull base images from a private registry by logging in with docker login or apptainer registry login before you build; peppy hands your credentials to Apptainer.
Builds that used Docker's browser login no longer fail at random with "incorrect username or password", because peppy leaves Docker's session tokens out of the credentials it gives Apptainer.
Log in or out while the daemon runs and the change applies to your next build, with no daemon restart.
